December Grading Information
Grading Examination
Sunday 15th December
The examination doesn’t apply to the Little Ninjas,
but Graduation on Thursday 19th is for ALL members!
Grading Applications:
Deadline is Thursday 5th December
Black Belt Reviews
Please remember ALL current Black Belts / Black belt candidates (black/red belts) are required to submit for a regular review.
This should be submitted as with a regular coloured belt grading application, and must include a brief written self-appraisal of their current status / goals, as details in the Black Belt handbook p10/11.
Pre-Grading Week – w/c 9th December
Please remember, classes this week form part of the grading process, and as such your conduct, attitude, effort and standards in class have a bearing on the grading result!
Other factors taken into consideration include your attendance (exp. minimum 75%), attitude in class, and results from previous examinations.
Grading Times – Sunday 15th December
10:00 Junior Beginners (White / Yellow Belts)
11:00 Junior Experienced (Green+)
12:30 All Adults (approx 45 mins for beginners, 90 for experienced)
14:00 onwards – Black Belt Examination – Seniors / Black Belts only
Graduation – Thursday 19th September
6:30pm at the Chantry Centre, Long Street, Dursley (Doors open from 6:15)
As always, please remember, graduation is the MAIN EVENT of each quarter. It’s for ALL STUDENTS – not just those who taken the grading..
New members, even if you’re not ready to grade yet, you’re very welcome to come along too, meet some of the other members and families. It’ll show you what to expect when it’s your turn next quarter!
All students should be in uniform. Feel free to invite your family & friends.
Please note – graduation is considered a public event, and therefore photography is allowed.
Star badges / Certificates etc.
If your child is eligible for any stars / certificates for this quarter, please ensure you let us know no later than the last class before the grading examination as all the graduation admin will be done on the monday morning after the grading and we won’t be able to process any further requests for stars etc. after that time.
If in doubt, please read the notes in the beginners handbooks of the members section of the website!
Post-graduation Social
As always, we’ll be heading over the Dil Raj for our usual post-graduation social with a few of the adults. You’re more than welcome to join us, but being December we do need to book so please let me know if you’re coming ASAP :-)
