Master Olpin at SENI 06!

Last weekend Master Olpin was featured as a guest instructor at one of the world's biggest Martial Arts events.

The SENI festival of Martial Arts is an annual event held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. It started originally as a trade-only show but now in it's seventh year it has grown to be the world's biggest

gathering of martial artists from all styles - featuring demonstrations, competitions and training seminars by martial arts experts from all over the world.

This year's event was planned to be the biggest yet and the organisers wanted to expand on the show by including a full programme of seminars and workshops where people could meet and train with leading martial artists. To help them build the best possible line-up they enlisted the production team from the "Mind, Body and Kick Ass Moves" television series to help them find the guest instructors.

Master Olpin said "When they asked me if I was interested I was naturally delighted! With over 30,000 people expected to visit over the weekend this was a huge opportunity for me. There were just a couple of dozen guest instructors there, with many travelling from the United States and further afield. To be considered worthy to teach along side them was a real privilege." So we asked, how did the seminar go? "It was fantastic! I have to admit it was quite nerve-wracking to teach in front of such a huge number of highly experienced people. It was the first time I've been really nervous about teaching in years! However that was soon put aside as the workshop was very well attended and all the people who joined in were very enthusiastic about what I taught them."
